Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is the best place to post, but perhaps you can let me know how I'd best go about it .

I am a designer working on a play space in Central Victoria. As it is a garden theme, I would like to include a child size table and chairs in the shape of mushrooms carved from logs sourced from the location. See below for the kind of thing I'm thinking about.

The table would be 500mm high and 700mm diameter, and the five chairs about 400mm high and 300mm wide. The level of required finishing would be fairly 'robust', with some detail in the gills underneath on the table, and some shallow rings on the top faces. Tooling marks would be quite acceptable, but it would need to be sanded to a pretty smooth finish for safety.

I am looking for someone with the interest and skills to carve and sand the wood, which I will then put a tinted finish over.

And yes - there is a budget! We have $2000 available for someone with some demonstrated experience in projects of this scale and nature.

If you are interested, I'd love to see a post with your work. If you could recommend the work of someone you know, also good.

Thanks, Elphingirl
