    Default Spoonatula ( it's a spatula thats like a spoon but not really)

    Phily's Blackwood when split had some interesting grain so on this one I have embraced the wonk.

    Nice looking! I like the wood grain in it. I've made several similar ones from walnut, poplar, padauk, purpleheart. I usually radius the corners - 1/2 inch radius on one side, and 1/4 inch radius on the other - makes it easier to get the "corners" of a pot when I'm cooking...

    You're getting pretty good as this spoon carving thingo.
    I presume you use the hatchets one in each hand while you hold the timber between your knees. Thats how I'd do it anyway.
