If you search for "sculptors supplies" it should come up with a few suppliers or it does in the UK anyway.

But it's supply and demand. I predict that the key event will be to get between the mine and the crusher
to pull a bunch of chunks off the line.
For all the hoopla and noise about soapstone mining in Canada, it isn't easy to find. Blocks from Lee Valley (unknown source).
Of course, you know the reputation that our Inuit people have for carving soapstone over many decades.
I thought it was really preposterousand exotic to buy stone from Brazil.
Transportation was convenient at that time.
Otherwise a big expense to bring any of it up from Neo Lithic or Gian Carlo in Vancouver.
