Making DVD's
For anyone that may be so inclined, the following link is a to a program called Intervideo...
http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/Home.jsp
This will allow you to assemble any video files onto a DVD, puts a menu system onto that DVD and they can then be watched on a standalone DVD player and not just a computer. I have used it and if I can make it work anyone can. I would rather watch on a TV then have to use the computer all the time.CHRIS

That's fine but be aware that we are reducing the file sizes considerably so that they are quicker to download. You won't get anywhere near DVD quality with what we are producing here. The originals are DVD quality but those files would be around 1Gig per 30 minutes:eek: so we have to reduce them in size with a consequent loss of quality.
Unfortunately, the internet isn't up to having download speeds quick enough for the masses to use those 1Gig files. One day in the not too distant future, it will.
The files we produce look much better on a small computer screen than on a large TV.

And it is a damned sight easier to make a DVD quality video than it is to get the file size down without sacrificing too much quality. We wouldn't go through the pain of it (and the hours of rendering time) if we didn't have to!

The point is that you can make a DVD with a menu system to watch on TV. The quality is not the concern, I can watch this stuff on TV quite easily without firing up a computer and actually if you sit back from the TV it is acceptable. I have files that are far worse in the quality stakes than the torrents being made for this forum.
