looking for offcuts to buy
Hi... I've just moved to NSW and have nothing to swap... but I'm willing to pay. I'm looking for offcuts - small to medium (like, oh, hand-sized to planks) - of almost anything. Anybody want to clean out a pile of stuff they're not using but can't bear to throw away? I'll use it well!
I'm in Marrickville, Sydney, and could pick up anywhere in Sydney.
Thanks in advance

If you want to buy rather than swap, try our Market Place sub-forum (see top menu), you could also try any local clubs in your area

oops... I saw after I posted my message that the swap section doesn't allow for exchanges of money. I didn't realize there was a marketplace, too. I'll look now. Thank you!

Well done again Greg.... good to see you safely back in the country....may see you at Katoomba next Sunday....
**********************************************************************************************
G'day "eighty4degrees",
There's a get together of Sydney and surrounding areas forum members at Katoomba NEXT SUNDAY, the 2nd November which would a top way to meet a few like minded woodworkers... I've attend all of them thus far and it's great for networking plus putting names & faces to forum handles..
hoping you can come...here's the link to the gathering....cheers, crowie

Back to work
Have to head back to the farm on Tuesday, so it is unlikely this time I will make Katoomba. Next time for sure (unless it is February, Off to Cuba and the Galapagas Islands, even if I can't spell them.....)

As you are in Marrickville, have you tried Anagote Timbers?
http://anagote.com/
They used to have small quantities that they sold for very reasonable rates.____________________________________________________________

Good recommendation there. I remember going through Anagote's offcuts bin about thirty years ago. Great fun. Went home with all sorts of stuff. Check them out (nice people too).
You know you're making progress when there's sawdust in your coffee.

Try the marketplace
Hi, you may have more success with your advert in the forums market place/auctions. Adverts there are free.
I am in Brisbane but understand there are plenty of member woodies in Sydney that swap and/or sell at less than full commercial prices. Look up Greg Ward for example (can't remember his forums name but imagine a search will find him).
Regards
David
