Calling All Fellow Female WoodWorkers!
Calling All Fellow Female WoodWorkers!
Have you ever felt like you were the only woodworking woman in existence? Have you ever wanted to talk about timber and tools but didn't because you didn't know where to start or feel like you wouldn't fit in? Have you ever simply wanted to talk with other woodworking women but couldn't find many, if any?
If so, then the Woodworking Women Forum and Wood Whispering Women is for You.
Hi, I'm RufflyRustic, a member of the Moderators Team here at Woodworking Australia's Woodwork Forums, heading up the Woodworking Women Forum.
For now, let's start with a few rules and regs then we can get on into the fun stuff.
The Rules
All the regular Woodwork Forum Rules apply. The moderators and ultimately, the Administrators word is law and final.
I strongly recommend you have a good read of The Rules and the FAQ.
Why do we have a separate Forum for Women?
The aim of this Forum is to provide a common area for Woodworking Women to use. It is not restricted to women only, i.e. all forum members can read messages posted here, but is intended for our use, to involve more women as there is a heap of us out there doing some great WoodWork.
I see this area becoming a meeting ground for the genuine woodworking woman. It is not a knitting circle nor is it a "women vs men using woodwork (or anything else for that matter) as the weapon". It is a Celebration of all things WoodWorking, by Women.
Where to from here?
To get the ball rolling, I will be posting a regular column on some woodwork-related musings, to start some general discussion and see where it leads.
I hope you will enjoy the journey as we celebrate our WoodWork from a Woman's perspective.
Cheers

Hijacking of threads will not be tolerated and hijackers will be given infractions which may lead to loss of forum privileges or being banned from Woodwork Forums.
If you feel you can't abide by these simple rules then please don't participate this will surely save the moderators a lot of wasted time and energy and may stop you from being banned.
