    Default Adjustable height work table

    https://www.amazon.com/Husky-Adjusta.../dp/B07BJNQ3QZ

    Item Weight: ‎102.5 pounds

Love the concept but weight and price turns the cards into negative.
    But anything similar available locally?

What is the typical load/weight rating on a hospital bed?

About 180Kgs. That would include a significant safety margin for a live (or close to live) patient.

I found myself in the same situation after my last back op - needed something to raise and lower furniture items etc without lifting them manually so I ended up building my own. Know anyone handy with a cut-off saw and welder?

fair go I am tired, the above reply was related to the serving tables not the bed, why on earth would I think of that.

Never buy anything imperial; stick with metric.

Years ago, I was persuaded to buy an adjustable computer desk - wind a handle and it went up and down.

It drove me mad. There was a very slight amount of movement in the mechanism. The writing/typing platform tremoured a tiny amount when in use. Barely perceptable, but incredibly annoying. The desk got moved on after about three or four weeks.

Saw the mate who was singing its virtues about six months later. He had also updated his desk!

    I like rigid.

All I've got is my Sketchup drawing to the point of adding the ram but the file is too big (989kb) to upload to the forum (apparently). I can send you the Sketchup file if you PM me your email address.
I also added a notched rack later to hold it at a range of levels because the rams leak and drop over time. I can take a pic of that part if you want.

I have something similar, I bought a hydraulic scissor lift trolley for a couple hundred, put a new base on it with new castors and a torsion box on the top.

I looked into this a while ago after seeing those american husky brand tables.

I actually considered beefing up some of the cheaper office works sit/stand desks. Obviously not to use it for heavy bashing work, but for outfeed and just assembly stuff i think they'd be fine.

Plus theres electric options for ultra laziness, but not really that cheap (starting around $250ish for a manual one). Occasionally see them on market place etc for less

That's exactly the approach that Andrew Klein took - electric standing desk as the basis of an outfeed table: Out-Feed Table Like No Other! - YouTube
