Best advice
what was the best advice your Father - Mother - Mentor ever gave you
My dad 's advice was
Don't choke the hammer
Never put anything past your elbow in front of a chisel
A nail only needs 3 hits
Fingers cut easier than push sticks
Goggles only stop the splinter that you never see
Never work for or employ friends or relatives
Never say cop this always say cop that.
and a hole heap of others
But whats the ones you remember and live btAshore
The trouble with life is there's no background music.

"If your not in bed by 12 o'clock (midnight)..... come home

Never really got much advice from the old man, but have never forgotten how he taught me to swim.
Actually, when he threw me in the river, the swimming part wasn't all that hard.
But by the jesus it was hard getting out of that bloody hession bag!

From my late Mother when I joined the RAAF:
Keep away from the main gate, theres girls waiting there who want you to do 'things' to them.
She was wrong
Father on electricity:
Electricity flows around a light globe, not through it.
Needless to say he was not a tech type at all.
And one night at the Shrine in Melbourne while on a photo shoot with a friend, we were approached by the uniformed shrine guard:
Watch ouit for the trees, theres c#nts in them trees that will jump out and get you.
Still get a chuckle out of that, there weren't and we wasn't gotStupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.

Mum also used to say,,,,,' remember, NO Glove, NO love ' . :confused. I finally got it, after having kids. But arn't mums sposed to tell their daughters that ?! ...not their sons ....
