Default Need some advice on a new project

    Hello all,

First time posting so hope it works the way I think it should! Same goes for my contraption. It's supposed to be a pull up station meets salmon ladder, because of some of the exercises I intend on doing I need to be able to secure the bar. I put together bits and pieces of workings that I have seen on the web to create what I need, but am unsure if I've missed something, like an easier way of doing this, or whether or not this would even be feasible.

    So my overall requirements are:
    - Freestanding - not able to cement or dig it into the ground
    - Multi Level and quickly Adjustable positions for secured bar
    - Removeable open rungs
    - Hold atleast 150 kg ( no I'm not that heavy, more of a better safe than sorry ) of static weight and moving force

I got tired and haven't really completed the sketches, but you can pretty much get the direction I'm going in. As the open rungs are not required for the the bottom half of the setup, this can be closed off with paneling ( as seen on the back ) for support and/or wood between the uprights at the front ( I realised through typing this it didn't exactly make sense even to me so quickly dummied it up img 5) I intended on drilling holes through both of the uprights all the way down the upright beam and running long bolts through these and into the blocks to hold them in place and distribute the load ( not intending to use a nut to enable quick swap )

I was intending to build this out of treated pine, weather and all. Using D shackles on the block to secure the bar, long bolts to hold the open rungs and block in place. A 25mm ( outside diameter ) bar and whatever thickness that would span the 1.6 or so metres.

My concerns are simply am I wasting my time and potentially my money, does my contraptions theory hold water or at least my weight, if it would work, would I just use small wood screws and glue on the back paneling, what would be the best way to mount the upper structure to the sleepers, does this need bracing, will this wobble and throw me off, ( arghh just realised before submitting I haven't put in top frame support, too tired, plus another question for appropriate support, what would work best, two beams on the outside opposing, a beam ontop of the whole setup running across, etc.. ) would it need to be treated, ( I realise it's already treated ). Some of these questions may seem silly, but I am a beginner ( was considering getting the design right and then getting a chippy in to build it ), and it is early in the morning that I write this.

Any help or advice is appreciated, any questions for me let me know.
