The Art of Woodworking
I have recently purchased a set of Time-Life books, The Art of Woodworking, on Ebay (where else!)
There are a total of 15 titles, I have done searching to see if there are any I am missing. I have found 2 titles doing a Google, Chair Making and Shaker Furniture.
Is there anyone out there who knows how many titles there are in this series?
I paid $90 for the 15, so at $6 per book I thought that was good value. Have been browsing through them and most have lots of good info, particularly the 2 Routing volumes and the Jigs one.

If you searched these forums, you would find a full comprehensive list of all titles.

Stuart, that is actually the first thing I did , but it did not come up with any lists of titles. I also searched Amazon, likewise, as well as the Time-Life website.
I have since done an international search on Ebay and found a seller in Canada with 24 titles, which he said was the full set. However I have one title, Wood Carving, not included in that set, so there must be at least 25.

Barry, I have since found 24 titles from an Ebay seller in Canada, but I have one additional title, Wood Carving, not included in that set.
I have the following titles:
Advanced Routing
Cabinetmaking
Cabinets and Bookcases
Classic American Furniture
Encyclopedia of Wood
Hand Tools
Home Workshop
Kitchen Cabinets
Portable Power Tools
Restoring Antiques
Routing and Shaping
Shop-made Jigs and Fixtures
Wood Finishing
Woodworking Machines
Wood Carving
The Canadian Ebay set also has:
Building Chairs
Finish Carpentry
Handbook of Joinery
Master Woodworker
Outdoor Furniture
Shaker Furniture
Sharpening and Tool Repair
Tables and Desks
Wood Turning
Wooden Toys and Crafts
So there are at least 25, but the Time-Life website only lists a few of these.

Yep, I did find that one in my search. I have been looking everywhere for a complete list, assumed that Time-Life site would have it. They are a few years old now, so probably superceded by the above.
Will keep looking for the rest as I am impressed with what I have so far. Will aslo take a look at the Custom Woodworking Series, am a sucker for books on woodworking (or any books for that matter!)
Cheers

I probably have mislead you.
My series is actually called Woodsmith "Custom Woodworking"
And the titles are following. I have put an X along side the ones in your list with similar names. All the rest are different.
I remember now that when I was receiving these books Time Life sent me a book in the series The Art of Woodworking and I sent it back and said "No Thanks"
This is the list I have
Heirloom Projects
Kitchen & Dining Room
Shop Built Machines
Outdoor Projects - Decks, Lawn and Garden
The Small Shop
Shop Built Jigs & Fixtures
Fine Hand Tools
The Home Workshop
Gift Projects
Weekend & Evening Projects
Workshop Essentials
Power Tool Upgrades
Shop Cabinets & Tool Stands
Classic Cabinetry
American Style Shaker, Mission & Country
Traditional Furniture
Tables Desks and Chairs
Bookcases, Shelves and Cabinets
The Complete Bedroom
Home Entertainment.
If I live to be 150 I would never get to build all the projects listed in these books or afford the timber they would require but it is nice looking at them.
I have posted a pic of what the series looks like. Something for you to aspire to aquire.
The reason you couldn't find them in the search because what Stuart was talking about was the Custom Woodwork series.

The Art of woodworking
A secondhand book dealer in Hobart gave me the address www.abebooks.com which searches a worldwide network of new and used bookshops. The Art of Woodworking bought up 458 responses. Hope it helps
