I've just come across an old "Australian Institute of Wood Machining" Certificate of Merit #3 awarded to me at Collingwood Technical School in 1962 and wonder if the institute is still around. I did a bit of searching but can't find anything, I know they were still going 10 or 12 years ago and I would like to make contact with them.

Try calling Lidcombe TAFE in Sydney, Alphonse, and ask for the woodmachining section.


They'll be able to tell you the current name of the body, or if it still exists.
