Hi All,
As an update I tried bending some 1mm th construction cardboard to the tight radius need. I used a water bottle sprayer to dampen the card to stop it creasing and then glued up using a 50/50 mix of water and PVA glue.
The result straight out of the bending bucks was good in that there was no creasing and the card curved neatly. There is a quite a bit of moisture in the card though and will take a long time to dry out. I don't want to dry it out when out of the moulds in case it looses its shape/expands due to the excess moisture.
I also tried steaming some scraps with a Karcher steam cleaner. It took a few goes but I think I will get the ply to the curve I need. The ply also dried out quickly too so next weekend I'll give the bending a go with 4 sheets of 0.8mm ply laminated but with a good few hours of steaming/bending/drying.
Thanks for the tips and advice so far.
Cheers
