    Default Biesemeyer style fence/rails

    G’day,

Firstly I just want to say that this is not a sale. I am just trying to gauge the worth of my fence/rails so I can eventually put it up for sale in the market place.

I just got an Incra fence for my table saw so no longer need my Biesemeyer style fence and 50” rails (with Wixey digital readout). Can these rails be fitted to other table saws? I imagine you’d just have to drill out for mounting holes? And what are they worth on the second hand market? I can’t seem to find any to compare mine to which is in very good condition.
    This is my saw:

I’ve searched for Biesemeyer style fences here in Australia but only came up with the Carbatec offering: https://www.carbatec.com.au/machiner...10hb-2-cartons

This is the fence only on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Jet-XACTA-Com.../dp/B001KOIBFG

    Any info would be great.

    Cheers,

    Andy

Yes they can be fitted to other table saws, mounting is generally quite generic so there may not be any need for modification to an existing saw.

The issue you will have is that most people who have a table saw will already have a fence, having said that you may be able to hock it off to someone who is building their own saw or has damaged their or after spare parts.

As always if you're not in a hurry just post a price close to what you feel its worth and you might get someone who will give you an offer.

If I were to put a sum on it, i'll be surprised if it fetched for more than a couple of hundred.

When I bought my Laguna I did so without the fence. I believe there was something like $300-$350 off the ticket price for the new fence. I reckon $150 but think you'll be waiting a while for that.

Not seeing the pic of you'r fence. Invalid attachment.
General rule of thumb for secondhand is half to two thirds buying price if in good nick. I notice a few on the marketplace put up a price then reduce later if there are no bites. There is always Gumtree and Ebay as options too. Anyhow good luck with the sale.

There's a lot of older table saws out there, particularly contractor saws with round rails, on which your fence would be a huge upgrade. You just have to find the right buyer. I agree with others that the maximum you are likely to get without waiting forever is around $200. If you play up the benefits of the Wixey and the accuracy of the fence it will increase your chances of a sale. If all else fails put it up for auction on eBay with a $1 start, I expect there might be quite a bit of interest generated, you just have to make sure you get the title and listing right.

    Default Biesemeyer style fence/rails

Thanks for the input. That’s about where I valued it ($200) especially with the Wixey DRO. I’ll take some photos and put it up on the market place in the next few days and see how I go.

    Cheers

Hi, bit of a long shot with an old thread. Did you sell the fence? If not do you still have the photos and details? Cheers, Stu.
