Thread: black staining in white oak around knots/end of boards

I never noticed that, but I've not worked with oak here, only in Canada. My hands used to turn black and if, which was rare, I was sweating like a pig, the sweat on the boards would stain black. Humidity is diabolical here so maybe that's contributing...
