    Default Blue Tape

When I watch wooding work videos, I often see people use blue tape, a lot of blue tape.
I was at Bunnings today getting some parts for a lamp and saw that the 3M blue tape costs about 3 times more than regular masking tape. I guess it must be cheaper in the US, given how they seem to use it for everything.

Reading the label I am guessing that the special thing about it is some sort of time release to make it easier to peel off but is it really 3 times better than regular masking tape?

I use it for glue ups to mask some of the inside joints. It comes off more easily than masking tape. The extra cost is worth it effort wise.

Im with Harry, its strength and stretching is its strong point. I love blue tape.

If you want tape to mask for staining, painting and spraying use Green tape.

Definitely worth the money. Blue tape is the duct's guts.

It's generally cheaper if you get it from a painting supply shop. Still expensive, but worth its weight in gold! Remember the (my) old axiom: never buy anything from Bunnings that isn't dirt cheap.
