Brad point drills
Hello every one.
I am after brad point drill bits.
They have to be 3/8th. Not 9mm or 10mm but 3/8th. Carbatec, Total Tools, bunnies, and Home Timber and Hardwear don't sell imperial ones. Any one know where I can get 10 of them.
Dowel doesnt come in 9mm or 10mm it comes in 9.6mm essentualy 3/8th, very annoying. Especialy when you use the dowel for axels in project's.
Hope you can help
Regards Jamie

If you can get yourself a 2.5mm white grinding wheel for your bench grinder, you can just grind a normal 3/8" drill bit into a brad point. Plus it means you can sharpen them forever.
I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

Jamie,
Total Tools do carry them, but they may not be an off-the-shelf item
Suttons make a HSS drill bit [edit: I meant to write brad-point drill bit] in 3/8" (at least, they did 2 years ago.) Their minimum special order pack is 10
Call Total Tools again, speak to one of the senior reps and ask if they can order in a 10 pack. Either that, or buy a 10 pack of standard drill bits and regrind them. You'll be needing to resharpen the drill bit anyways...
Cheers,
eddie
