Default Wanted - bridge or wharf timbers

    Hi,

My husband and I are building a post and beam mud brick house, does anyone know where to purchase affordable bridge or wharf timber?

    Thanks,

    Sue

Have a look at this place.

    http://www.shbc.com.au/product_range/timber.html

they have what your looking for, but I don't know if they are affordable.

Sometimes its cheaper if your know what you need in advance and go direct to a saw miller.

But if your looking for that aged rustic look, then you might have to relieve your back pocket of a large quantity of the folding stuff.

These guys in Canberra do lots of that stuff:

I have used them for flooring and for various beams. Very good to deal with and reasonable prices.

Sue unless you want the rustic appeal of recycled you may be better off with new but you will have to do the pricing.

    Recycled try - http://www.ironwood.com.au/

or for new try Roy Cross Timbers or any of these.
