    This build is looking great

Can't wait to see the end result.

You were bloody lucky with that router bit before. But you already knew that

Nooooooooooooooooo!!! Don't you just hate it when that happens!!!!!

I do like your innovative approach to clamping though. Reminds me of some of my more desperate measures ...

That is just fantastic and you have every right to hoot your own toot and anything else you want to do.

Well done and congratulations on a fine piece of furniture

Post a pic when it's all finished

    Good work.

    Default Finished

It's all finished, in time for Christmas day too.
I used about 6 coats of minwax gloss wipe on poly and it's come up ok. I wanted gloss so that I could create the effect of that burl being displayed under glass.

Wow!!! Now if she isn't pleased (thrilled) to receive that, then she is a grumpy old cow, and you can tell her that from me. What a fantastic result! Well done you.

Thank you for the nice comments all, I'm very pleased with it too.

Ozkaban, the Oregon had me worried too I thought it was going to be a huge mis-match but when I hit it with the wipe on poly the whole thing went a deep pink and really looks good.

It was a 225 x 75 / 6.0m now it's a length of about 1100 and a few smaller lengths and offcuts, I was going to take a photo and whack it on ebay for $1 because I never want to work Oregon ever again, ever. I hate the stuff.
