Where can I buy Brass Slotted Screws?
The more woodworkers I speak to confirm that slotted brass screws are difficult to impossible to purchase in Melbourne.
Does anyone know of a good source of these screws around Melbourne or Australia?
It seems to me that someone could make a business from supplying slotted wood screws.
Why use slotted brass wood screws? Restoring furniture with existing slotted screws and for some reason I think they look better than posidriv or phillips and they are cheaper than the square headed screws.

Brassy
Anywhere in Australia would be good! Particularly if truly brass and not plated!
Thanks for making the enquiry.

Timbecon, round head and countersunk. P132 of their catalogue.
I really don't know what the problem is - they are freely available. If you don't want to order from Timbecon, go to Bunnings. If you don't want to go to Bunnings, go to a boating supply but be prepared to pay through the nose there.
