    Question Cabinetmaking terminology

Hi. Often wonder what all the parts of a cabinet are called. Know the basics, rail, stile, plinth etc but would love a resource to know them all.
Specifically want the small backpiece at the rear of the Top of a Bedside Cabinet often with a curvy profile to prevent stuff falling over the back.
But would love a comprhensive list online if anyone knows a good resource.

    Pediment

No idea of an online resource - there's a worthwhile book that's just gone out of print might help (mine's upstairs at the moment)
Joyce, the technique of furniture design (aka the encyclopaedia of furniture design,) an excellent resource.

It'd probably be in there, along with most things you'd ever think of.

    Cheers,

    eddie.
