Casting Resin - Shelf life
I bought and partially used a tin of Diggers casting resin about 6 months ago.
Reopened the remainder today and its pretty solid - certainly beyond picking up with syringe or pouring.. Is there anything that can be done to revive it. ?
Thought I had carefully replaces lid but obviously not carefully enough.
Thanks in advance
Albert

To my knowledge, she is set for life.
I used to think it wouldn't go hard unless you added the catalyst, but after leaving the lid "not on tight", I too found out it sets.
Make sure the lid is wiped clean, on tight and kept in cool cupboard. Although I go through a fair bit, I have found it keeps for at least 12 months.

Casting resin actually has a REALLY short shelf life - I had a tin that was set solid as soon as I opened it - I think it was probably 'off' when I bought it, took it back the same day & swapped it over fopr a new tin. Saleman said they have to keep rotating the stock very carefully due to the short life.
