    Default Coffee table

Got sick of the remote controls always falling on the floor and had need of a new coffee table so decided to kill two birds with one stone. Pretty standard construction, using Jarrah, Rock Elm, NG Rosewood and Red Cedar. Skirt and legs are also Red Cedar. Hinged panel is New Guinea Rosewood.

Rally like the idea of housing the remotes, saves them ending up all over the lounge room and hiding where you can never find them, just at the point when you want to change the channel.

Very nice Dan. I also like the idea of hiding the remotes in the compartment. I likt the contrasting colours of the timber as well.

I like the idea of hiding the remotes. Visitors would not be able to change the channel unless they do it manually.

    Andy,

Used wipe on poly for the first time. Probably could do with a few more coats, only gave it three.

Nice work Dan. I also like the housing for the remotes.

Come on tell the truth you really just want to hide the remotes from the better half, don't you?

Very cool Dan! The table looks great in it's own right, but the remote cubby really takes the design to the next level.

Hard to say but I'd guess about 10 to 12 hours.

Rod 1949: Sorry, don't have a better half, live alone. The real reason for the cubby hole was to give my short term memory a new task every day.
