I rather think it would be cheaper to make one. Perhaps not as ornate as the one in the picture.

Nonetheless it looks like a straight forward design and shouldnt be too hard to copy.

I take it thats a 6 cue stand and you want one to take 10 or 12 cues?

I will be very disappointed if the tendering process DOESN'T start now, come on fellas' I've deduced that there is more than a few aspiring professionals here

(Don't worry, I thought about it but I'm a better joiner than turner ME+WOODLATHE=ruined timber)

As an ex professional snooker player (in my dreams) 10 -12 cues looks a bit excessive for a home, when I was on the world tour (in my dreams) I only used one cue, a two piece job that could take a small extension.

Now if you are planning to host some snooker/pool parties and give them a choice of length and weight you might need 10 -12 cues. I would not bother giving visitors a choice, after all you want to gain some advantage to enable a damn good thrashing. You could even offer a couple of broom handles, that always worked for me. Another good technique is to make sure the tip of all the cues (except your own) are highly polished, makes for a lot of mis-cues. Of course you run the risk of someone ripping the table cloth, you have to balance up the cost of a replacement cloth and the joys of giving someone a damn good thrashing.

A good alternative is an umbrella stand, make sure your opponents cues are always inserted upside down to knock the tips about a bit.

I remember a tip that Alex Higgins gave to me personally (in my dreams) he said never give a sucker and even break, if you can't win fair then cheat. Sound words don't you agree.

A bit of trivia, what is the highest break possible in a game of snooker.

In addition to that advice you can also insert an off centre weight in a cue to bugger delicate shots.
MOre trivia, I am also a snooker champion , even played Eddie Charlton for $50,000.00.
Read, it was a charity function in the mid 70's at Lindrums in Melbourne, pay $10.00 which was donnated to charity and if you beat the master you got 50 big ones, I got the break and it was the only shot I had

Talking of snooker, I was feeling a bit under the weather and went to my doctor. He said you look a bit pale can you tell me a bit about your diet.

I said I only eat snooker balls, he said what do you have for breakfast

I said a red and a yellow, and a red and a pink

    He said what about lunch

I said a red and a brown a red and a blue and a red and a pink

    He said what about dinner

I said a red and a pink, a red and a black followed by a red and a yellow

He said there’s your trouble not enough greens
