Dark brown timber (or able to be teak stained) species suitable for steam bending
Hi guys, I am finishing off the interior of my boat and need a timber species that likes to be steam bent, is reasonably dense and has a similar colour tone (or can be stained) to match teak. I am capping the cut ends of teak veneered marine ply. The strapping will be about 4mm thick, I have capped all of the straights with teak but its didn't like being bent through a pretty tight radius. Thanks in advance

Air dried (rather than kiln) if you can get it.
