    Default Design and building show

Looks like it could be interesting. Guessing though if you don't have Pay tv we won't be able to watch it.

Default Framework: New Furniture Design Show

I'm a bit of a sucker for these kind of shows and really looking forward to seeing this one. My other two faves: Project Runway (don't laugh) and Face Off. PR is about fashion design and FO is special effects make up.

It's a pretty simple formula and they can get a bit frustrating to watch when you see the people being judged rather than their work, but like I said, guilty pleasures, this looks promising.

It premiers tonight (US time). I'll let you know if it hits the torrent sites, OR you can probably see it online at Spike's website via something like http://www.unblock-us.com/ (free trial available to see how it works for you, $5 per month after that) to get around geo-blocking. (Yes, Project Runway (Season 12??? Really???) and Face Off are both available as torrents)

Yep, 12 seasons and then you've got the spinoffs: 4 seasons of PR:All Stars, Under the Gun, Project Accessory, PR: Threadz, Models of the Runway and more than 20 regional variants including an (terrible) Australian version. Yeah it's kind of popular.

Haven't watched it yet, but it is available online now. If it does follow the top chef format then fingers crossed it's as good!

I watched this last night. It was terrible! Its about furniture design, but they put very little effort into showing the design process, nor the construction process. It was mostly about the contestants bitching about other contestants.

That's a shame... they had a chance to do something different and fun.... ah well... will give it a Crack anyway (better than reruns of the simpsons)

Just watched it. Yes it's contestant driven, Yes I would have liked more emphasis on the individual design and construction of the pieces, but then the show would be at least 6 hours per episode.

The judges don't miss a trick.

Yep, sounds like all of the other shows of this ilk. To be honest, youtube is the place to be if you want awesome instructional videos. I follow at least a dozen channels that are constantly outputting quality programming for nix.

    I'll still watch framework. =D
