Desktop Speaker Build | Tasmanian Oak Baffle
Hi,
I thought I would share my speaker build video and see what feedback I get. I can already guess a few things I done wrong technique wise but I always love constructive criticism.
Overall both asthetically and sound wise it is good result imo.
The baffle is Tasmanian oak with no stain just clear varnish. The paint is 2k Satin white.

Great job! Just a couple of things you may look at for the next build, with the holes you drilled and routed in the MDF, do all of that prior to putting the box together. It would give you a cleaner cut by placing the MDF on a sacrificial backing. You could also pin the piece to the sacrificial board when routing and end up with less to try and clean up afterwards, a bit of double sided tape would help here too. Drill the pilot holes through both the MDF and the face board at the same time for the speaker ports.
Welcome to the forum, look forward to the next build!
Cheers Cal

The paint finish you got on the MDF is superb, what paint and technique did you use? Great job.
Also, the way you spread the glue made me chuckle, as it reminded me of how my kids used to eat when they were toddlers.
