Double sided tape
Where can I buy the type of double sided tape that I see used by some of the Americans on this forum. Is it available in good old Aus and if so, where can I get it from. I don't mean the thick, white double sided tape that you see in Big W or Targets, I mean the kind that is about as thick as masking tape.

The only one that I've found that is good to use is carpet tape, usually available at Bunnings and most hardware joints.

There is a liquidation store up the road from me where I got a few rolls and cheap too. Last time I checked they didn't have it anymore, but those type of shops might be worth a look. It is good stuff too. Just used some akchully.

Are you looking for permanent or temporary attachment?
I use 3M VHB tape for attaching metal to metal permanently, its expensive but available in different thicknesses

I had trouble finding it, so I actually bought some "turner's tape" from Lee Valley the last time I did an order from them. It really is good stuff.

Try Supercheap Auto at Browns Plains, I have seen it there before, don't know what the quality is like but maybe worth a try.

Was available from Aldi - just before Christmas - Work-zone Brand.
May get it in again - usually items resurface within the twelve month cycle.

Thanks Ray, I'm not really stuck for any at the moment but was just thinking it would be a good thing to have around. I have never used it myself but there has been times when it would have been handy so I will check out the local suppliers that have been suggested and see what I can come up with. Thanks for the offer mate.
