What Drawing programe
Hi woodies,
I have auto-cad on an old computer that has died so all my drawing for a while has been with pencil and paper but it is so handy to be able to use digital drawing for all the benifits of layering, printing templates, altering a design during the drawing process. Does anyone know of a free drawing programe they would recomend, as I cannot find the disk's to reload auto cad it's been a long while.
Regards Rod.

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything, but they

A simple 2D drawing program? Try DeltaCad
Delta Cad - World's easiest CAD program, CAD software
A simple program that does not have a steep learning curve compared to others. Google Sketch Up for illustrating what it will look like finished.CHRIS

You can buy a gadget for your old hard drive that makes it into an external drive.
Then you can load your old programs into your new computer, reformat the old one and use it for storage.

Thanks for the reply's they are most appreciated I will have a look at them both. SAISAY I will enquire about this gadget with a friend of mine who has a computer business that would be great as there are many things on the old hard drive that I would like to recover I had wondered if this was possible.

You might also try Draftsight - a free drawing program that operates almost identical to AutoCad.
