    Default Drum sander vibration.

My Halco drum sander suddenly started vibrating badly, on closer inspection I found what looks like a couple of lead shims, stuck together, loose inside the drum. They are obviously for balancing the drum but I can't tell where they came from to glue them back in. Any ideas?

Looking inside the end of the drum, I figured that any weight to balance the drum would be opposite the clamp which holds the end of the paper roll. After blowing out as much of the accumulated dust as I could, I found what seems to be a small patch of spongy material. it proved too difficult to get it off so I stuck the shims right next to it with a blob of silicone. I'll leave it overnight and see what happens tomorrow.
