drummy floor
I recenty had a karri direct stick to concrete timber floor laid by a so called carpenter who decided not to use nails except for a few nails in a problem spot which was drummy. 3 months later my problem is I am getting more and more drummy areas, in some cases the timber is lifting (tenting). I have been advisded the only way to fix this, apart from nailing all the floor down and sanding and recoating, which I can't afford, is to to drill small holes through the timber, in the problem areas and usinng a chalking gun pump liquid nails through the drummy spots to hold the timber down. I was just wondering if anyone else had come across this problem? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
