What would you do with a faulty TSC-10HB
Ordered it from melb wood show last October. Its comiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnng.
Didnt come. What a surprise. Decided to pay the extra freight and got it from Sydney. Great service. received it last week.
Put it all together, trued it up the best of my ability, switched it on.
NOTHING. Not even a spark. Sydney say that it is covered under warranty, BUT they dont do house calls.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to a) check for any basic faults ( such as mis wiring) or b) how do I get a 200kg table saw to Rowville.
Stumped,
Tony.

Tony,
beg/buy/borrow/steal a multi meter (you can get a cheapie for around $10).
Using the "ohms" setting check the continuity of the wiring from the blades of the plug, through the switch and back to the terminals in the box on the motor. You'll be checking that the power can actually get from the wall to the motor. You'll have to push and hold the starter switch in when you check it. If it checks out OK then the problem must be in the motor, otherwise it will show up as a fault in the switch, plug or wiring. Good luck!

Tony, look at the stop button. It is nurled. You need to rotate it so that the stop button pops out, then you can push the start button. Safety feature. Had me scratching my head for a few minutes. Carbatec don't seem to know about it because someone else on the forum got the same response as you.

If what Silent said doesn't work send me a PM and I can have a look with my meter, could even be a starter cap.
I am only 1/2 an hour away.Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.
