G'day reprint,
Surely sounds like a fun project.....There's some big holes involved in that furniture....didn't know our little termite friends did Jarrah.
Welcome aboard, and soon there'll be someone along with a helpful answer.

pictures please,
it depends on what sort of look you want.
are the channals open on the surface.
filling with a coloured epoxy like araldite will give the surface a glazier type of look.
coloured builders bog can hide the trenches depending on how good you are at camoflage.
a really good restorer or somone with a good eye, patience and natural talant can dissapear the damage.
or you can use the termite holes as part of the character of the piece.
a lot depends on the original quality of the piece,
a high quality piece looks a bit messy if you use the epoxy
a solid utility piece can look great.

Hi and welcome. I can't help you much here but I know one has to be careful so as not to ruin the character of the project.
Reality is no background music.

I have had great results with Megapoxy. You can get a clear type or one that you add pigment to. I use the Megapoxy 69 and add black pigment in a lot of items I have made. Goes off in 24 hours easy to work with and comes in a two pack so you use what you need. You can buy it in 2 x 1 ltr or 2 x 2ltr packs. You can also buy it in larger amounts.
Hope this helps.
