    Default Finishing

Hi, This is my first time so I hope this is right. I have purchased "Glendale" golden shellac but no matter what I do I can't get a gloss finish on my work. I have watched all you tube videos and done many trials but nothing seems to work. Joing this forum is my last option? Can anyone help?

Hi, The first question is what type of timber are you trying to get a shine on? Some timbers are that open grained that you simply will not get a shine without doing a great deal of concentrated work.

First off, what type of timber is it?

    Regards
