    Red face Fixing mistakes

Has anyone seen the article on Fixing Mistakes in the latest AWS magazine.
Had to laugh because I've tried all of them and a good few more. I make so many mistakes I am practically an expert at fixing them!
Go on own up the rest of you!

Strewth mate! I wouldn't know where to start!

Current project: making a Georgian style 'D' hall table and had cut some trenches perpendicular to the lower edges of the legs, just intersecting with the ebonized finish to the bottoms - then found that the supposed 1/4" inlay was actually only 6mm. Hmmph! Ok, try and make my own inlay - BAD idea!

Last project: Wine cabinet - making some raised panels for the two ends, routed the chamfers (ie both panels) the same:mad: Well, one was ok

Making some bookcases, each of different sizes: Made up the cutting lists - and duplicated the shelving from the same list.

    et ruddy cetera!

    Cheers!

PS Many more where those few examples came from:eek:

My worst was cutting one side of a cherry bookcase 100 mm too short; I butt-jointed the two pieces together with biscuit reinforcement, and, amazingly, the join is barely detectable, since the grain matched well.
