I'm bending down to a 5" radius at times. That's not possible with all 3 plies in play, and having very little spring-back is a nice side effect. For a gentle curve like the one in question you could use all 3 plies, but for mine, using 2 plies and having negligible wrangling after is the go. Of course you could bend a little tighter and allow for the springback that way.
Just saying how I would tackle the job.

Thin plywood of 3 ply construction of about 1mm in thickness use to be available in small sheet sizes for model making from shops or stores that sold Model Planes, Model Ships ets. It was not cheep.
I have used the material by forming into curved shapes by laminating in 2 or 3 layers using Tight Bond or similar adhesive.
You would need to make some type of male / female form of the final shape required to lay the layers over while bonding.
    Best of luck,

No worries, Burraboy. I was referencing the gentle curves that Eddomak pictured in his bow front drawers. Agree, I would not like to try and bend 4mm 3-ply on a 5" radius.

    Still readily available, Malcolm.

    Still not cheap!

If you're bending that tightly regularly, maybe look into the stuff we get from Plyco. It's $23 for a 2400x900x3mm sheet (no other sizes) and will bend to practically any radius; at 900 wide I reckon it'd go to a 1" radius, I've managed to fold some narrow (1-200mm) offcuts in half before they broke.

Lovely stuff!! I found some sheets in Mudgee, of all places, some years ago. Some sort of stuffup in their order, fortunately I had the ute and bought what they had. Haven't known the source or been able to find any since! It's a long trip to Melbourne for me unfortunately!

It's from Plyco, they could send it to their Sydney (is there one in Canberra?) warehouse if that's easier

Had a look at their website, only Vic addresses but a delivery service, I may be making a phone call next week.
