Thread: Floating Shelves Bracket

Your mention of dyna bolts implies that your wall is brick? I wonder if those bracket holes are too close together for drilling into masonry?

I did floating shelves at our previous house drilling matching holes in the wall and the shelf and epoxying 9.5 mm steel rods into the wall and slipping the shelf over them. I was going to glue the shelf in situ, but this was not necessary.

This technique requires absolute precision:

• The holes must be exactly the same spacing,
• they must be absolutely level.

I made a drilling template from 25 mm timber and took care.

Nothing is visible on the outside.

strong enough for what? what do you intend to put on them?

looks like your ordering from some temu style site... I'd be prepared for NONE of those dimensions listed to be accurate




do you need them to be totally hidden? are you routing out the rear profile so they sit flush against the wall? you'd be better off using a tapcon screw or similar compared to a dyna bolt
