Where are you getting your rags?
The Bunnings rags suck. Where are you getting your rags? I don't have that many old cotton t-shirts.

Any trade specialist store ie Blackwood's, the last time I got a bag of rags it was from a specialist fastener store.

Ive said it before and I’ll say it again .
Len Moss Agencies 0411 134246
53 Westminster st Oakleigh .
Melbourne.
Cheapest prices . Nice Bloke .
I buy lots of stuff off him . He delivers to some suburbs . Or go to him when he’s there . Ask him about the hours.
For example white Cotton rags $33 per 10 KG bag + gst = $3.63 per KG
Bunnings $8.09 per 1.5 KG bag = $5.39 per KG
coloured rags $20 per 10 KG bag + gst and drops to $18 Ea + gst for 8 or more .
20 litres 100% Metho $61 + GST
And the list list just goes on and on .
I get nothing in return for putting out the word on Len . I tell all my trade mates about him but people get stuck in their ways I suppose . It’s always good to tell people about guys like this because sometimes they are trying like hell and it doesn’t work out and they disappear .

Probably most of my T-shirts should go into the rag bag, especially since I retired I have taken to almost exclusively wearing work type shirts with pockets.
When we cleaned out mums place after she moved into the nursing home 2 years ago I collected two green garbage full of old sheets and linen which should keep me going for a few years. MIL passed away a couple of weeks ago and yesterday we went to have a look through her place as nothing has been touched since she went into a nursing home about a year ago. A brief look indicates there's enough stuff there to see me and all the other relies till we go into a nursing home.

Blasphemy, perhaps.
I go to Costco and buy a dozen hand towels for $16. It is amazing how much stain a single towel can wipe off. And then, obviously, after drying the used towels are tossed into the dust bin.

I use rags for things like finishes, but for oily mechanical stuff I use toilet paper.
45 rolls for about US$10.
