    Default A grand old gum

    I ride past this gum 5 days a week as a postie in the Adelaide Hills, I am in awe of it’s stature and endurance as the road parts either side of it. I’m sure it would have a story or two to tell if it could.

    agreed and some drug affected dumbo will try driving past it one night and kill himself or a passenger and then the dear social minded council....'its been a hazard for years, it needs to be removed'. Counselor, put your head in front of it and I'll be the first chain saw to attack.....u

    My own wood society (IWCS) is asking state members to NOMINATE a STATE TREE (ie as a State Tree Emblem) ... because of beauty, heritage, utility, age size etc. We hope to have a result for the Canberra IWCS meeeting in October 2019
