All hand crafted stuff are made by artists or designers and sold to mainly hair-dressers or beauty salon owners.

    Is that clear?

It is somewhat sad that a hand made (hand crafted) item has now taken a back seat to mass produced product. There would have been a time that mass produced items were seen as inferior to hand made items but now the balance has shifted the other way so that now mass (machine) produced is superior to hand made items. Perhaps this is now the shift in society where uniformity is now the ideal.

I see hand crafted as being an individual item worked on by the watchful eye of an individual or a small group. Not something that moves along a production line worked on by machines or a huge number of people who are employed to undertake one task. A car at Holden can hardly be called handcrafted.

Now country style (distressed) furniture ...... that spells poor workmanship (quality)

Sorry for the poor spelling ... a pleasing day at work, a bottle of red, the absence of spell checker due to recent format, it all adds up.
