Help Newcastle! Use of Jointer/moulder required!
I need to get approx 53 linear metres of Ironbark either edge jointed or finger cut (or similar glue joint) on one edge by the end of the week.
The lengths are between 0.9 and 2.5m, and are approx 43mm thick and between 75 and 150mm wide. All the timber is recycled, and guaranteed nail free! I have passed it all through my thicknesser with no ill effects! After carefully de-nailing and metal detecting the lot...
Any joinery shops, tradesmen etc that you could recommend would be greatly appreciated!!
'Why?' I hear you ask! Well I stupidly agreed with my soon-to-be SHMBO a while back that chopping boards would make nice gifts for guests to our wedding. The wedding is in Victoria in 2 and a bit weeks hence the rush...
And despite my best efforts my Triton Router table is proving that it's not up to the standard of squareness/accuracy required...
Not expecting a 'freebie', but a close to mates rates as possible would be preferred (uni student, and ute stolen last month and hence can't afford a decent jointer or moulder).

G'day Bigred,
You might have a bit of trouble getting someone to machine recycled timber. Metal detectors are good but not perfect, and one nail can cause a fair bit of damage to planer blades.
I've used Hudson's at Glendale a couple of times on new timber. Rates were quite reasonable too. They might be interested.
Can you dress it a bit first so it doesn't look recycled?
Cheers, Kev
