    Default Help making sliding cabinet doors

    Hey fellow woodies, Merry Xmas

    i want to make a little tv cabinet, and i like the idea of sliding doors, like this one here (see attached)

    does anyone know of an easy way to do this?

    i will probably make the main cabinet first, and attempt the doors later, so i want to be able to just slip those doors in/out when needed.

    the closest easy solution i could find was these.

    any thoughts or tips would be great

    You could make your own .slide the top guides in after the door has been positioned and secure with a smalll screw .Use a bit of candle wax to lubricate or Rockler have a drawer lubricant.
    I've just become an optimist . Iv'e made a 25 year plan -oopps I've had a few birthdays - better make that a 20 year plan

    thanks for your response Pete...

    so i just use some ply or perspex for the slides, and the groove can be a circular saw cut, about 4mm...

    that just gave me an idea, i could probably use biscuits for the slides...

    I would have used ply . I had not thought of biscuits but why not .
