The blacksmith brand is Ouchi currently a 4 generational family of blacksmiths based in Miki Japan. The style is oire-nomi an everyday bench chisel.

Ouchi is easy to pick it has the two oak leaves below the character meaning Great, big 大 pronounced "O" and the second character meaning inside 内 and pronounced as "chi".

Ouchi is a good entry everyday work chisel. A chisel like yours would go for $40 to $80 on eBay depending on the condition of the ura (back) and the handle.

Ouchi was brought to the USA in the 1970/80 by Mahogany Masterpieces (Masterpiece Tools) - yours looks like it came from that time.

Good set - you can get a replacement hoop from a Jtool dealer in the USA.

I would remove the cruddy stickers with some turpentine OR Acetone and put on a fresh coat of oil.

The handle material is Japanese Red Oak, similar to your live oak.

You will need to flatten the backs and hone.
