homemade abrasives
I was sanding a small carving this afternoon and after much experimenting ended up using some cheap Chinese fine files I had stashed away somewhere for such an occasion. Worked OK however it dawned on me that the emery boards women use on their nails might be more appropriate if you could get them in differing grits, so here is my query if anyone can help.
Does anyone know how to go about making your own sanding sticks,if they are not allready available? I probably need to know what you would need for an abrasive, a suitable glue, and I would guess an ice cream stick should do for starters.
Thanks."What a fabulous race! Barry Sheene's riding his Suzuki as though he's married to it."
