Hi Ding
My sister is a quilter and she's at me to make her a "quick-un-pick" holder. You know those plastic thingys they unpick stitches with. well they're small and hard to handle so she wants me to make a caddy for them that they press fit into, and a fitting cap that goes on it. Sort of like a fountain pen kit if you have a lathe. Sorry, no pics. Hope you get what I mean.

No shes not my mother but she is the mother of my kids and well given that shes given birth to more kids than most women do nowadays... willingly... I cant see a reason in the world not to give her a mothers day gift from myself

a blanket/quilt chest may be more practical ...with compartments for needles etc .....having them hanging over a rack may look good .....but it would only be short term in most cases ...

Besides...
She doesn't want anything practical or for that matter a thing.
Get a gift certificate for dinner but only give her half the gift certificate. You retain the other half. Make a date with her to go to dinner. Arrive with flowers and a really clean vehicle to take her out.
OR
A puppy. (She'll either love you for it or hate you for it.)
