Default Ideas on how to mount this shelf?

I made a simple shelf and stupidly did not think about how to actually mount it on the wall

The ideas is that it should mount flush against the wall and the mounting should be concealed (ie no 3M sticky things or through holes for screws. It will be mounted on dry wall. The only idea I have is to route small cavities in the back side that two hooks, nailed to the wall, could then fit into?

This feels like a dumb problem to have and I’m sure I’m missing something obvious. Ideas please! (Also don’t know why the photos are upside down sorry)

    I would use keyhole hangers.

Agree with keyholes; I can’t think of any better method for your needs but an alternative to hangers is to rout keyholes directly into the timber using one of these bits:

I actually have one of those, might try that on some scrap and see how it goes. Thanks

That is certainly impressive. Don't think I'll be trying that anytime soon.

Don't tell me you installed the router bit upside-down?
