Looks good MajorP, only one fault that I noticed. I run MFFox and a screen res of 1024x768, when I click a picture too enlarge, the picture box is to small for the picture and it cant be maximised(coz it already is...). So I got to scroll too see the whole picture which is not good to get a "whole prospective view" of your fine work!
<div align="center"><!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="EditRegion" -->
<h1><br>
<img src="images/wwby.gif" width="470" height="40"></h1>
Im not entirely sure but this width on your image 470 coupled with the fixed width on your menu (200) is forcing a scroll bar to appear on the bottom when the browser isnt set to full screen. I suspect reducing the image width may take the scroll bar away.

Also on the menu bar on the left, the Alt tags show up as menu 1, menu 2 etc. If you do a search in your source code you should find the place where these can be altered to reflect what they actually link to.

I would also consider putting in a link to contact you - clients need to know where they can spend their money!

Get your META tags sorted out:
<head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
These are the META tags I used on a site I am doing for DVA - just overwrite with your stuff and you should be on the way. The tags go a long way to helping search engines track you down. You need to be meticulous with them
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">
<title>Sons and Daughters of Vietnam Veterans :: Australia :: </title>
<meta name="KEYWORDS" content="Vietnam veterans children, sons and daughters, vietnam veterans australia, sons of vietnam veterans, daughters of vietnam veterans, australian war veterans, Australian RSL, health issues, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD, ">
<meta name="DESCRIPTION" content="Sons and Daughters is the Australian website catering for the needs of the sons and daughters of the conflict in Vietnam. The Vietnam War had a resounding effect not only on the young men who participated but also up their families and children. This website aims to provide support for the children of Vietnam Veterans">
<meta name="ROBOTS" content="INDEX,FOLLOW">
<meta name="resource-type" content="document">
<meta http-equiv="expires" content="0">
<meta name="author" content="Sons and Daughters of Vietnam Veterans :: Australia">
<meta name="copyright" content="Copyright (c) 2003 by Sons and Daughters of Vietnam Veterans :: Australia">

<meta name="distribution" content="Global">
<meta name="generator" content="Undisclosed">
<meta name="rating" content="General">
Then visit this site, register using your spam friendly hotmail account and start submitting your sites to search engines. The biggest other thing you can do is to have other sites list yours (maybe using reciprocal links) this is looked upon very well by the search engine bots...

Other than that the site looks clean, loads very quickly. Maybe look for a small Javascript snippet like this, from a place like this which you can use to include a random image on your front page, you could source the images from those you already have through the site and it would act as a 'teaser' for potential clients.

You may have a problem with search engines because of frames.

See Search Engines and Frames

Also, small nit pick, but "Visit Australia's foremost woodworking forum by clicking HERE." Why not make the word 'foremost' the actual link. ie. Visit Australia's foremost woodworking forum.

Thanks Harry,

I downloaded MFF & installed it myself. I'm having the same problem but it is all fine in IE. Stuffed if I know
If anyone has an answer to the Mozilla FireFox problem I'd appreciate it

Absolutely brilliant. Congratulations on the rapid thumbnail displays.

One small comment is that in IE6 the link colour of the menu item is indistinguishable against the background whenyou click on it.

Major Panic,
Very nice display. What if you had gone to art school?

That is a seriously good website with seriously beautiful works. The only thing that I can find fault with is that they do not have my name on them.

Now really seriously, I think that you should be entering your tools, especially your gauges, in the next Australian Wood Review competition, which is in the not too distant future. Seriously.

Regards from Perth

Thanks namtrak,

I don't think the 470px image is the problem I think it was the 600px header picture on the main page. I've reduced it to 400px so I hope this remedies the problem. If you get a chance can you check for me?
I fixed the alt tags as you suggested & I will put a contact link .... soon.
The meta tags, I haven't sorted out as I'll do that last but your tags should really help.. THANKS
That's a neat idea of random images on the main page. I was just going to put a teaser of the current project.
