hey guys thanks for the feed back . will answer as many as i can as this is fairly
new to us !
to the guys talking about rebadging gmc product as triton' WHAT A CROCK OF CRAP
why would gmc spend a load of money on a range and screw up something by cheaping the market , think about it guys,
for the guys asking when the quality of gmc's products inmprove.
have a look at how far the company has come of the last few years
gmc is allways inproving procducts and making them to a price which suits the
diy market, gmc are not hear as the most expencive brand nor do gmc wanna be
but any sorry about ranting on .
i do belive in gmc's products and think that gmc's involvment in the triton
range will benefit all involved .
i'm not selling crap hear just trying to help everyone out and let you all know that gmc is hear for the long run

Welcome back Inside.
To the lot of you!!! Any and I mean any unreasonable attacks will be deleted.
A company will only improve with feed back and that is what is being asked.
You have a chance to improve some equipment and make a difference.
You would be surprised at how many manufacturers watch this board and some will not post because of the debacle on the last thread about GMC.
So like I said: Behave.

I like my GMC stuff. It often makes the difference between doing woodwork and just thinking about it. I hope you treat your contractors (or whatever) well. After the Chinese government's recent comments on the Tianenmen (sp?) Square massacre, the mooted FTA sounds less attractive than ever.
(Sorry to politicise this, but money talks, you know?)
Anyway, glad to see you back, TIV, it's still a free country, in a user-pays sort of way...(not directed at present company...okay, I'm going...)
Regards,
Rus.:confused:The perfect is the enemy of the good.

I think some of the crap posted last time was pretty ordinary. As long as you are who you say you are then I'm happy to be kept informed.
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

I'm also happy with my GMC stuff.
Better to have many good value for money tools than 1 or 2 bits of overpriced crap.

Welcome back and sorry if you were offended by any of us before.
Most of my hand held power tools are Makita and that is because I know I can rely on them for quality, accuracy and ease of use.
I do however, use GMC for tools I see myself using little or where accuracy is not a huge issue, ie, my GMC biscuit joiner( $90 V Makita $400).
Then again I do have two GMC routers which I love and they are awesome. I was recently asked whether I preferred my Makita router or the GMC's, the answer is neither, I love them all and they are suited to different applications (fixed base V plunge). The GMC cost me $40 and I do prefer it over the $400 bumblebee coloured one!
I think you guys make some of the best tools at the cheaper end of the market and need to keep on doing so. You also provide good warranty service and the satisfaction guarantee is great.
Is there any possibility you could upgrade the standards of your bearings as I think this is the only thing dragging GMC down. I can tell they are poor quality by the way my ears bleed when using the biscuit jointer, in fact I am surprised it is still going.
Jack.
How was that ?
BTW, I don't care what you do with the orange gear, just don't over price the GMC products to keep up."There is no dark side of the moon really. Matter of fact it's all dark."

good call that's what we are all about getting people in there to have a go
sometimes people cannot afford $500 for a lathe ,so we can do a product
for a lot less and get people into wood working which i think it's what it's all about. in answer to chinise workers . i don't know much about it. so i cannot really coment on it , i'm sure we are doing the right thing by all involved
it's the future is looking up within china as working and pay standards have improved alot over the years , thanks again guys

How about adding a mini spotlight to the router to illuminate the cutter and help watch guide lines?

Im happy with my GMC tools. I knew exactly what I was buying and feel Ive received value for money. However, I have to agree with Jack - please do something about your bearing quality if you can please. Thanks.
