    Brilliant - they probably take more care and be more aware of their limitations than some fully sighted idiots.

    Safety factors aside, I see no reason a blind turner can't be as capable as a sighted one. Vision is good for quickly moving the tool to the job or determine incipient faults, but once you start cutting it's all about the feel and the sound.of the tool.

    I dread to think what sort of OH&S rules the mob behind that initiative had to go through before they could even open their doors... [shudder]

    I just hope ABC havent done the wrong thing. As you Skew ChiDAMN!! if worksafe or some F knumskull officallism gets their rocks off being overbearing on this guy.
