    Default Joint Connectors

I may have to make some 6 metre work benches at work by welding a steel frame and joining 2 metre kitchen bench tops together. The benches are 600mm wide. Would I require one or two connectors for that width and what is the best way to cut away the benches on the underside to make the slots for the joint connectors to fit into?

Amazon call them 'joint connectors' but when I search them at Bunnings they don't come up. Are they know by another name in Australia?

Attaching photos of the bench tops and joint connectors.

    worktop or benchtop connectors

They're designed for a 35mm hole. You can cut the groove from the hole to the edge with a saw and chisel or a router.

I'd be using 3 for a 600 wide top, 100mm in from each edge and one in the middle with some biscuits for alignment. Apply silicon to the ends of the tops before clamping to stop water getting in the join.
