    Hi Jetska and welcome,
I assume you mean tung and groove regular floor boards.
One form of clamping is to screw a board to the existing floor and use wedges driven between it and the floorboards to be butted up. You then unscrew the board and relocate for the next and so on. Hex head roofing screws are good for this.

If you have a good set of clamps that can be "inverted" to use in expansion mode, they can speed things up. Esp. if they have a lever action. (Something like the Bessey Powergrips)

Just screw the blocks to the substrate at the max. reach of the clamps, then work until you need to move the blocks.
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

Check out the local hire companies , you should be able to hire them for the day. You will need 2. I presume you are fixing to timber joists. If you are fixing direct to concrete and or a similar solid meium then it is a different kettle of fish.

Sorry , you are correct I did not notice that condition, he should still be able to hire suitable clamps from the companies that promote the sale of DIY timber flooring.
